LEGO just made Star Trek Day a lot more interesting. On September 8, 2025, LEGO and Paramount officially announced a partnership that fans have been hoping for, teasing a galaxy of brick-built adventures ahead. The teaser was short, only 15 seconds, but packed with promise. A LEGO Captain Picard minifigure beamed onto the bridge of the Enterprise, looked around, and smiled. That was enough to get the internet buzzing.

The teaser dropped across LEGO and Star Trek’s official social channels, ending with a cryptic Klingon message.

Translated, it simply said, "Coming soon." It didn’t need to say more. Fans knew exactly what that meant.

LEGO's Star Trek Tease Hits Warp Speed

For years, LEGO fans have asked for a proper Star Trek collection. Now, it is finally happening. The teaser hints at more than just one set. It opens the door to a full range of Star Trek builds across decades of TV and film history.

It is the ship that defined an era and one that has been missing from LEGO’s sci-fi lineup until now.

Enterprise-D Set Rumors Take Flight

According to several reliable LEGO insiders, the Enterprise-D set will include around 3,600 pieces. That puts it just below heavyweights like the LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon, but still in “serious build” territory. Expect a complex model, perfect for display, and built with collectors in mind.

LEGO / IG / While LEGO hasn’t released full details yet, rumors are spreading fast. The first flagship set is expected to be the USS Enterprise-D from “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

At nearly 60 centimeters long, the model would be packed with iconic details. From a detachable saucer section to printed nameplates and technic-built support stands, this won’t be a playset. It is a showpiece. Every design choice points to authenticity and scale.

The Full TNG Crew in LEGO Form

The set is rumored to include a full roster of The Next Generation’s bridge crew, minus Tasha Yar. Each minifig is said to come with accessories that match the characters. Captain Picard will hold his signature tea, while Riker gets his trombone. That is the kind of attention to detail that excites longtime fans.

Even Wesley gets in on the action. The inclusion of Guinan, with her bottle and signature hat, shows LEGO isn’t cutting corners.

Price and Release Date Rumblings

The rumored price for the Enterprise-D set is $399.99 in the US. That puts it in line with LEGO’s other premium adult-targeted sets. With a piece count of 3,600 and a full crew of custom minifigs, fans seem ready to pay the price.

LEGO / IG / Worf will reportedly include a phaser and a new molded Klingon hairpiece. Data comes with Spot, his cat. Geordi has his engineering kit, and Dr. Crusher carries her tricorder.

Release is rumored for November 28, 2025. That is just in time for Black Friday and the holiday shopping rush. Smart timing. It gives fans a chance to grab it early and puts it front and center for holiday wishlists. If the rumors are true, expect it to sell out fast.

Previous attempts to bring Star Trek into the building toy world never stuck. Hasbro’s Kre-O line fizzled out in 2017. Other brands like Mega Bloks and BlueBrixx tried, but never reached LEGO’s polish or popularity.

This new partnership fills a major gap. It brings Star Trek into the same league as LEGO’s Star Wars, Marvel, and Harry Potter lines.

The success of the Enterprise-D set could lead to a full Star Trek LEGO collection. Think “Original Series,” “Deep Space Nine,” “Voyager,” and even newer shows like “Discovery” or “Strange New Worlds.” Each has its own iconic ships, crews, and locations that are perfect for brick-built storytelling.
